About
Phoenix constellation lies in the southern sky. It was originally introduced by the Dutch astronomer Petrus Plancius from the observations of the Dutch navigators Frederick Houtman and Pieter Dirkszoon Keyser in the late 16th century.
I made this webpage for a school assignment as in science we are learning about space and constellations. I chose to create a webpage on the Phoenix constellation because I thought that a phoenix would be unique and different to everyone else, I also thought that the shape the stars formed didn't really look like a Phoenix and thought it would be interesting to discover why Petrus Plancius chose to make the constellation a Phoenix.
